In the resorts the town beaches may well be crowded but anyone prepared to walk or drive and explore the Cornish Coast may be rewarded with anyone of many off the beaten track beaches. Plenty of places to visit and things to do , from exploring castles and gardens to cycling the Camel Trail.

Inland by mid July the fields of winter corn will be turning a golden yellow, wafting in the summer breeze. Any true countryman will however tell you it will be a good three weeks before such fields are ready for harvest. Less well known crops such as daffodils will have been lifted to dry in the sun, before being bagged for bulb markets all over Britain.

At sea species such as mackerel as the sea temperature continues to rise will be moving closer inshore providing scores of boat trippers with the delight of feathering on a sea fishing trip. Shore anglers with the chance of a catch from the many Cornish headlands.

By August blackberries will be ripening in the hedgerows, scented honeysuckle in full flower, the red berries of the hawthorn, and the now green of the blackthorn. On the cliffs many slopes will be a blaze of purple as the heather flowers, bracken showing the first brown tinges of Autumn. By the mid month most of the swallows will have left for Africa. Soon the Summer Cornwall holidays break will be a distant but so pleasant memory
